If I had to list every woman who has inspired me along the way, my pages would be filled with teachers who have imparted life lessons, philanthropists who have inspired goodwill, authors who have coloured each milestone, as well as celebrities who have portrayed inspiring film characters or are walking inspirations themselves.
“Don’t be intimidated by what you don’t know. That can be your greatest strength and ensure that you do things differently from everyone else.†– Sara Blakely
While we look to the stars for inspiration, we also gained fashion tips from the following ladies! Be it in their 20s, 30s or 40s, these stylish leaders do it well. Get their looks with a little help from the accessories shelves!
20s- Kristina Bazan
Kristina Bazan of fashion and lifestyle blog Kayture is on the radar for her youthful representation and bold approach to fashion. This fashionable lady wears many hats: influencer, model, stylist, creative director, and singer. She embodies the European elegance and so much more! No wonder she was the first blogger to work with Cartier and is the face of many high-end brand campaigns! Her style is truly inspiring. With a little playful prints and textures–and the occasional accessories, Kristina is definitely steering her style game to the next level.
30s- Natalie Portman
When it comes to inspiring ladies of Hollywood, Natalie Portman tops my list. Not only is she known for her acting chops, the Harvard graduate is also known for her philanthropic works with several charities and foundations, such as FINCA, Food Bank For New York City, Legacy of Hope Foundation, and more. And she doesn’t stop there. She inspires us beyond her reel performances with her red carpet and off-duty style. Ever on point with trends that work for her petite frame, Natalie works the colour blocking trend to her advantage and does monochromatic ensembles to a T too.
40s- Phoebe Philo
If you love the Céline Luggage or Phantom, you have Phoebe Philo to thank for. Since taking the helm as Creative Director in 2008, the British designer has been growing the brand to its iconic and covetable status. The Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design graduate has always been achieving the high rungs of fashion, from being awarded British Designer of the Year in 2004 and 2010 (she used to be the Creative Director at Chloé till 2006) to the International Designer of the Year in 2011, Phoebe doesn’t stop. Even Her Majesty The Queen awarded her “obe”. Little is needed to be said of this lady who is listed in TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2014. While Phoebe’s work is phenomenal, her personal style also inspires. Working well with shapes and silhouettes, she achieves the perfect score on runways and at events.
